Some little boys have a way of stealing your heart with one smile. And Case? Between those big blue eyes, his sweet curls, and that little personality, he made it pretty easy! 🤎
For his session, Case’s mama wanted a vintage teddy bear first birthday theme. We kept everything soft and simple, with warm neutral colors, old-fashioned teddy bears, and the sweetest little details.
And I have to say, this might be one of my favorite first birthday themes!
A Sweet and Simple Vintage Teddy Bear Birthday
One thing I love about a vintage teddy bear first birthday session is that it doesn’t need a lot to be adorable.
The teddy bears, soft colors, and simple decorations gave us a cozy little setup that felt timeless rather than overly themed.
And Case’s little denim overalls? They couldn’t have been more perfect!
Of course, those curls and big blue eyes were the real stars of the show.
And Then Came the Birthday Cake!
You never quite know how a one-year-old is going to react to their first birthday cake. Some babies dive right in, some are a little unsure, and others have their own ideas about how the whole thing should go.
Case definitely gave us some moments worth remembering! 😂
Between the cake-covered fingers and his adorable expressions, we got to capture a little bit of that first birthday personality.
And really, isn’t that the best part?
The perfectly posed pictures are sweet, but those funny little moments are often the ones parents love looking back on.
Three Brothers, Three First Birthdays, and So Many Memories

Case is the third little boy in this family whose first birthday I’ve had the pleasure of photographing!
First came big brother, then the next little brother, and now sweet Case.
Three different little personalities. Three first birthday celebrations. And one family that keeps trusting me to capture these moments.
I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of watching my photography families grow.
And now Mom has something pretty special. First birthday portraits of all three of her boys, each at the same age, with their own little personalities shining through.
